Going grey! 👩🏽🦳
For years, I’ve tried going natural for multiple reasons.
1. Maintenance (I was dying every 2-3 weeks)
2. Cost
3. Embracing my realness
I was going to wait to go grey until after I retired from corporate life, but why? Societal expectations. F that.
It took me a little over a year to fully transition. There’s about >inch left, but barely noticeable. That demarcation line during the year was a real struggle.
This grey gray hair journey really taught me patience, self-confidence, and authenticity.
Quick facts:
• I’m 37yo (went natural at 36)
• Last dye was 12/1/19
• Started going grey at ~18yo
• Dying for ~19yrs
• Yesterday (1/1/21) marked 13 months of growth
